Rex's Fiesta Adventure

One warm afternoon, Rex was taking a walk through the jungle when he heard something he'd never heard before...

๐ŸŽถ Strum... strum... strum...

The sound of guitars floated through the trees, followed by joyful singing and lots of laughter.

"What's that?" Rex wondered.

Being the curious dinosaur he was, Rex followed the music until the trees opened into a colorful little Mexican town decorated with bright papel picado banners waving in the breeze.

Everyone was celebrating a big fiesta!

The very first person to notice Rex was a smiling boy named Diego. There's a picture of him below.

Instead of being surprised, Diego waved and said,

"ยกHola, amigo! Come join the fiesta!"

Before long, Diego handed Rex a crunchy tortilla chip with a scoop of delicious mild salsa.

Crunch!

Rex's eyes grew wide.

"RAWR! This is delicious!"

Soon Diego introduced Rex to his sister Rosalita, who was dancing with everyone in the town square.

The mariachi band played faster...

The guitars sang...

Everyone clapped their hands...

And before Rex knew it, his feet started moving all by themselves!

Rex danced and danced until everyone in the town was laughing, cheering, and dancing right beside him.

It turned into the happiest fiesta Rex had ever seen.

As the sun began to set, Diego smiled and said,

"Would you like to come to our house?"

Rosalita added,

"We're making fresh guacamole!"

Rex couldn't stop smiling.

"I'd love to!"

From that day on, every time Rex smells fresh salsa, hears mariachi music, or sees colorful fiesta decorations, he remembers the wonderful day he met his new friends, Diego and Rosalita.

And every visit to the salsa Backyard reminds Rex that good food, good music, and good friends can bring everyone together.
